MyTown is an expansive simulation game, and one of the first city-builders to hit the Facebook platform. Being only the second venture in social gaming for the studio and myself, MyTown undoubtedly brought on many new challenges. From Art Direction to environment design; my out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and passion enabled me to succeeded in every task that came my way.
Imagining the game's look and feel seemed minuscule to the development of my first isometric world; however I was able to formulate a gridded iso template in which the art team and I could design countless environment assets with pixel perfect precision.
Designing 2d buildings to move and work as 3d assets was another new challenge I took in stride. Having an amazing eye for perspective and vivid imagination, I envisioned and designed four-sided rotatable buildings.
Overcoming the countless obstacles while pushing past personal boundaries during this unfamiliar time has truly benefited me as an artist, game designer, and creative thinker; MyTown helped me to take my abilities to the next level.
